Aer Lingus offers cheaper fares to UK via Ireland

Irish Airline Aer Lignus is currently offering discounted fares from the USA to London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. Flights are via Dublin with a convenient connections in both directions. In many cases the Aer Lingus fare to the UK is lower than the fare on most direct services, it is also lower than their own Aer Lingus fare to Ireland. Stopovers in Ireland are permitted. A satisfaction survey by British Travel Magazine Which? Travel shows the UK Airlines rank low in passenger satisfaction. When it comes to Shorthaul flight Swiss received the highest satisfaction vote followed by Irish Airline Aer Lingus with Air Malta ranking 3rd. UK Airline Thomas Cook came in at the bottom of the list at no 18.

When it comes to longhaul flights Air New Zealand topped the survey. Top of the UK carriers was Virgin Atlantic which came in at no 6, British Airways at no 11, First Choice at no 11 and Thomas Cook at no 15.

The airline with the lowest long haul rating was South African Airways.
